Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 July 2026

This policy explains what data Ura collects and how we use it. We collect as little as possible, and we don't sell your data.

What we collect

  • Account & billing, if you subscribe, our payment provider Stripe collects and processes your payment details and billing information. We receive a customer reference and subscription status, not your card details.
  • Install identifier, a random per-install token that lets our service recognise your app and apply your plan. It isn't tied to your identity.
  • Usage metrics, for projects you publish, we measure aggregate data transfer and storage to run your plan and show your usage. We don't inspect the contents of your database or your visitors' activity.
  • Build data, as you build, the app periodically sends us that project's plain-language description (the "About this project" file, including its one-line summary), its plain-language build history (the "Build log" file: what changed and why, as the AI describes it), the first request you typed when you started the project, the names of the software packages it uses, and its live address if published. We use this to improve Ura, including improving and training the AI behind it. It never includes your ongoing conversations, the contents of your app's database, your files, your attachments, or any credentials. This is on by default and you can turn it off any time in Settings ("Help improve Ura").
  • Waitlist, if you join a waitlist, the email you provide.
  • Website visits, we count how many people open ura.dev, which pages they read and which link brought them, so we can tell a page that is not working from a page nobody has found. Your IP address is never recorded: it is mixed with your browser description and a secret we replace every night, and only the scrambled result is kept, so it cannot be turned back into you and the same person produces a different one tomorrow. Nothing is stored on your device for this, no third party is involved, and it is never joined to your name or email. Raw records are deleted after 180 days. The full detail is on our cookie policy.

What stays on your device

Building happens locally. Your projects are ordinary files on your computer. Features like voice dictation run on your machine. Credentials for third-party tools you sign in to are stored locally on your device, encrypted where your operating system allows.

How we use it

To provide and bill the service, apply your plan, measure usage, prevent abuse, and contact you about your account. We use processors such as Stripe (payments) and Vercel and Neon (hosting infrastructure) to run the service.

Sharing

We don't sell personal data. We share only what's necessary with the processors above to operate the service, or where required by law.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Contact us and we'll action it. Cancelling removes your subscription; you can ask us to delete associated data.
